All done!

I finished this weeks ago but never posted it! I did in fact finish it that night while watching the olympic synchronized swimming events, which were awesome by the way. Not so big on the waterproof painted on make-up but love the costumes (big surprise). I'm a sucker for bright colors and prints.

Sooo Close

I'm nearly done with my Royal Tenenbaums cross-stitch project. I found a pattern off Flickr, from the lovely Rubykahn and had to try it out for myself. I've made it larger and added my own tweaks but I can't wait until it's finished. My plan for tonight is to pop in Marie Antoinette and knock the rest of this thing out.

Diorama Mania

A while ago I was on a huuuge diorama kick. I was going to used book stores buying children's books and using my favorite illustrations to make little dioramas. My Lemony Snicket ones were my favorites but I mailed them off to folk before taking photos. Here's my Where The Wild Things Are diorama I made from my 10 cent purchase. It's currently on my wall awaiting it's frame.

Marvin

Meet Marvin. He was created in a felt doll craftshop with Brooklyn Krafthaus. My good friend Brannon made a moose as well. She however gave her moose chest hair making him oh-so-manly.

Octoskull

Here's an ink drawing I made for my sister to put in her cafe. It definitely was hard to let this one go!

Little People

I really love these! I made them into a little fold out booklet for my parents. They're about
2 inches tall. I did them while watching Lost reruns not expecting anything substantial to come of it all and voila, something I actually like.
Yay for unexpected results!!

Paint-By-Number

I was scrounging through the sale area at Urban Outfitters and found a cute little paint-by-numbers kit so I had to test it out. Lately I've really been into ink sketching so I just did that instead of the paint. Here's the result.

Silhouettes

I dug these out for my sister's new business venture. She's opening a coffee shop in Berea, Kentucky called "The Black Feather" with her and she wanted some things to put on the walls.s She's as obsessed with silhouettes as I am. I took these a while back in an undergrad black & white photography class so I scanned them and sent them to her. I'm just so excited for her and I can't wait to get down there for the grand opening!

I also threw this one in just for fun. *grin*
